Woke up at 2 AM to police sirens ending a high speed chase in my front yard. Four teenagers fled on foot, but one was caught. They would have t-boned Kim’s truck in the driveway had it not been for the amazing stopping power of my super mailbox.

Real Grass – No Astroturf
Police estimate = 1.2 million people.
ABC News reporting 2 million people.
Wow. This doesn’t look so much like astroturf. This looks like Americans concerned about the direction the government is going. I wonder if anyone will bother to listen?
“Houston, we have a problem.”
I’m excited today that former summer intern Rebecca is returning to work full-time with Bound4LIFE. She comes back to us as a fully-funded missionary, and that’s rare these days! Much love and many thanks to the church family at Christian Heritage Church in Tallahassee, FL.
Rebecca will be serving as a project coordinator and administrative assistant. What project you ask? Well, the details are still forthcoming, but it centers on mobilizing thousands of Christians to stand against the 78,000 square foot mega abortion facility nearing completion in Houston, TX. This will be the 2nd largest abortion facility in the world (second only to one in China where currently 13 million babies are aborted each year). Stay tuned for details to be released soon.

We’re believing that revival is about to break out in Houston and particularly in the Hispanic community. Some friends of mine recently called to say they wanted to help with the Houston project because they originally became Christians in Houston when the Jesus Movement hit. Now the Jesus Movement began in California in 1968 and 1969, but they thought it was significant that the revival hit Houston in April of 1970. That’s when they were swept into the Kingdom along with countless others, and they’re sending newspaper clippings talking about how the entire city was turned upside down at that time.
This is very significant because the Planned Parenthood abortion facility is due to open around April of 2010. I believe it is profound that this is happening at precisely the 40-year mark of such an historic outpouring in that city. Could it be that God will once again visit the city with unprecedented revival, or will the corporate Church remain complacent in the wilderness and allow Planned Parenthood to claim another generation unchallenged?
This morning a pro-life activist standing in front of a Michigan high school was shot multiple times and killed. A second homicide is linked as well. Developing.
More Questions
Death Panels = “bogus” and “It is a lie.” Illegal Immagrants = “false.” ABORTION = “misunderstanding”
“And one more misunderstanding I want to clear up - under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions, and federal conscience laws will remain in place.”
Once again The President has asserted that there is no government funding of abortion in the Health Care Bill. Calling it a misunderstanding is not satisfactory at this point, and chucking pro-lifers in as unyielding ideologues does not smooth out the matter.
“Some have dug into unyielding ideological camps that offer no hope of compromise.”
How would the President explain in detail why both liberals and conservatives say the plan allows for the funding of abortion?
How would the President explain in detail how the goverment-collected premiums for the public option would not be used to pay for abortions when the administration has already emphatically declared that it includes abortion as “essential health care.”
How might the President speculate openly why this bill in its current form is so strongly supported by Planned Parenthood, NARAL and other pro-abortion activists? (Surely it’s not because no goverment dollars would ever be used to pay for abortions or expand the abortion industry.)
All these open questions about abortion makes me wonder what is being set in place for the future. If they don’t expressly prohibit the funding of abortion through an amendment like the Hyde Amendment for Medicaid, the courts will see to it that it’s to be included. It wasn’t spelled out in Medicaid and it ended up paying for 300,000 abortions per year until the Hyde Amendment put an end to it.
All this has happened before, and it could happen again on our watch if we fail to navigate the nuances.
Home is Where the Heart Is
From the LA Times this morning regarding President Obama’s Health Care Bill:
“He knew from mid-summer polling there’d be trouble if Congress left town for its August recess and got an earful of doubts from the folks back where the members used to live.”
Used to live? I thought they still lived there, and they were only in DC to REPRESENT said “folks.” The question now is will our elected representatives listen to the President or the people that sent them to DC?
Numbers Obsession
OK. Guilty. I’ve erred in this area before. This post was a wake up call to me and took me back to how I originally viewed all this 2.0 stuff. Love it.

Fisher painted this portrait of the two of us in the prayer room the other day. I think he captured a pretty good likeness of me…which unfortunately is sad to say.
Illiteracy on the Rise in DC
Once again we have an almost unbelievable example of a Congressman actually supporting the idea of not reading the bills that they want to pass. This time the baton is passed to House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (D-MI).
“I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill.’ What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?”So the answer is just vote to pass it quickly so you DON’T HAVE TO read it? C’mon Conyers. That’s ridiculous.
